Quote:Over the holiday weekend, Sony Online Entertainment rallied its player community and raised $25,000 to donate to the American Red Cross' aid efforts in Haiti in the wake of last week's tragedy. Big time stepping up. SOE always gets shitted on by gamers but they still do stuff like this even when people don't tend to notice. Good for them. Its good stuff.
As for SOE's bad reputation in the last two years I've not experienced anything myself that justifies it, a lot of people seem to equate them with big and corporate yet there are bigger companies out there these days.
That and I always like to see a company that has some actual enthusiasts employed in it, too many software companies swap their talent for graduates with qualifications, and appear to be headed by people who lost interest in gaming a long time ago.
