The crawler has come across a lot of posts like these lately:

Everquest 2: A Game in Free Fall. Part 1

What’s Wrong with EQ2 Raiding?

I don't play enough to really comment on any of them anymore, but whats changed here in the last 6 months? Is everyone really starting to feel this way about EQ2? Is it just the enddgame?

They are letting non-PVP people transfer into the PvP servers? Holy shit they are lucky we aren't podcasting on EQ2 anymore, I would be throwing a royal hissy-fit.

I still play a few nights a week and I say nothing is wrong with it and people are just complaining. Every year around this time people get bored of the current expansion cause they have done everything. Not a night goes by that I don't get a group offer as soon as I log on, even on a non-raid night. My guild and raids have been uneffected over on Everfrost. We only have one open spot in our raid force for an enchanter, but we are still overfilled on raid nights and 1 or 2 people are sitting.

As for the PVP... I can't comment since I play on PVE.

I have to agree with some of what Ogrebear is saying; population on Permafrost seems to have thinned out and our guild has been decimated - mostly with people transferring to other servers, rather than quitting the game entirely.

Then again... summers always suck for population. Nights are starting to draw in, people will start getting back into it, and looking towards the new expansion. Things will pick back up, they always do.

On the question of "Is it just the enddgame?"... perhaps. It's probably moving that direction. But that's just a natural progression - EQ1 was getting that way when I quit 4 years ago, and it still seems to be going strong...

No - you still cannot transfer from PVE to PVP server. However it is true, you have two HUGE servers in AB and Naggy. However, we are also at that time at the end of the expansions life where this tune is always repeated. The complaints are valid yet there are and will always be valid complaints.

There were without fail several valid complaints that were addressed which have now produced new complaints which will be addressed thereby creating other new complaints. It is the nature of the beast.
