I'm on Siel as a level 10 cleric currently. Had an amazing time up through ascension. I'm digging this game for sure.

I've got several guildies who are 25+ and are battling in the abyss but I haven't been there yet. I'm pretty sure you get access to that area at 25 and it's enormous. It's got raid dungeons and pve content and its all contested warhammer style. The folks I know in there are having a blast with it all. Of course, there aren't tons of people 25+ yet on our server but we are getting a fair number up there. All of the feedback I've heard about their pvp system has been positive - with the exception that I think you have to get to 25ish to see most of it.

Hmm, is the pvp small to and set aside as a system ala monster system in LotRO or will it be more pervasive as in War and EQ2. Another thing -is there such thing as incidental pvp? Or is it subsystemed away to private areas and such?

Or is it subsystemed away to private areas and such? PvPvE systemThe end game of Aion will revolve around battles within the Abyss (PvP zone). Within the Abyss are castles which can be controlled by individual Legions (Aion equivalent of a guild). Battle for control of these castles involves combat against players of the opposing faction and computer controlled NPCs at the same time, using siege weapons obtained from end game PvE raid content. Legions in control of a castle are entitled to funding from taxes and players within the faction get specials from NPCs. The game currently does not allow factions to fight against those of their own race, except for casual duels. The participation in PvP is rewarded with PvP "Points" (called Abyss Points in the game). The game ranks players as battles are won against fellow players. At higher ranks the character's wings will change in appearance to show the character's elevated status. Also certain items can be purchased with these points such as high-end armor and weapons. This is referred to as the Abyss Rank system, and there can only be a limited number of high ranking players per server. The highest ranking players compete for the relatively few rank positions available.[13] Abyss points are gained by killing other players in combat, and points are lost by being killed by another player. Higher points are awarded for a kill of a much higher ranked player than for killing an equal or lower ranked player. There is pvp outside of this area as well. RaidsRaids will consist of up to 4 groups with up to 6 players per group for a maximum of 24 players in a single raid. I am really having fun with the game. I am torn between putting too much more time into the beta though, just because the release is still a good ways out (Sept 22) and I don't want to get too burned out on it. I do feel like I am going to go Spirit Master when the game release does happen. Laz, you liking cleric? Assassin looks fun also.

The cleric seems pretty cool so far. I'm a sucker for healing classes and I can hold my own while soloing which is refreshing. I'm thinking they will shine in group content but I've managed to go 1-13 this weekend just soloing stuff. I don't see many people grouped up everyone seems to be running around doing WOW style leveling. Are you seeing the same thing? Our guild is doing group stuff, but that seems to be in the high teens and in the twenties. I'm not sure when the group stuff starts to be honest.
Release is a looooong way off, that's for sure. Something like 45 days or more right? I'm not sure what I'm going to do in the meantime. I may try to finally get my Priest to 80 in WOW or push my Blood Mage in Vanguard to 50+. I might also just relax and try to take some time off because I have a feeling I'm going to put in a good bit of game time once Aion goes live. How's your spiritmaster?
