Sony's new MMO Free Realms now has over 3 million registered users! This is quite an awesome accomplishment since the game launched less that 7 weeks ago… Really glad it’s going so well! I’ve been having a blast fighting robogobblins, and the racing your friends online is sweet too. If you haven’t signed up for a free account, you totally should ;) http://www.freerealms.com

That is quite amazing. I wonder how many active players they have. I signed up but probably havent played in a couple of weeks. I will probably go back though.

The screen shots I saw of it looked too teenager aimed for me, but maybe the game is bigger so I could be tempted to head in and check it out.
Too much I want to do in EQ2 though really for now though. But its good to hear they are doing well, hopefully this will translate into a bigger and even better EQ3 if they dare to go that route.

I played it, actually enjoyed it. It's FREE and can remain free if you don't get sucked into the game. I enjoyed doing the little questing. The side games are totally addictive. You can race cars, play jewels to farm mats for crafting, cook, and quest kill.
It's really a great game. It's not only for kids. I had a great time with it. The only thing you have to avoid is the microtransactions that they try to make you buy. But other than that, it's a really really good time.
Try it out, you'll be surprised.

Just checked through the sign up process, its certainly slick, will have to give it a shot if at least to see what it is all about, intrigued by the idea of mini games to do various things in game like farming mats, I wonder if that is something we'll see as standard in the next MMO's.
