So, I'm not really playing any SOE games at the moment. In fact, I'm barely playing anything as I've been trying to get back in shape and get more sleep among other things. That being said, airfare and vegas hotels are super cheap these days and the 10th anniversary of EQ fanfaire is coming up in a month or two. I'd be up for heading out there for the weekend if we could get 3-4 or more of us out there to hang out, do some gambling, drink lots of beers and check out some SOE stuff on the side. I don't really feel like going by myself but It would be cool to get the gang together one more time in person. Any interest at all?

I'm one of the few left here still playing EQ2 on a regular basis... I've always really wanted to go, but being closer to the NE part of the country, It's more expensive and time consuming for me then most. I also have a 2 year old which makes it even harder to get away. They need to have that shit on the east coast one year.

Besides from what I hear about Vegas, I'd get drunk, high, and lost rather quickly; I don't know if I'd make it back. :)

#1 Lazaretto - Grats bro on hitting the gym. I've been doing alot of the same in the last couple of months. If you have facebook, PM me your info (And anyone else who wants to try to keep into contact).

I'm playing in a rugby tournament over Labor Day weekend, so if I can work this in, I will. But my wife will probably have to come with me. Lemme see what I can put together and I'll let you know. I know she needs the trip, we have 2 little ones though that we need to find sitters for over that time. If we can swing that, we'll see what we can do. Will check out all the information on the trip now.

Anyone getting any special perks this time to go?

#2 Kottonmouth, don't worry we'll take care of you man if you want to go. I can't promise you won't wake up without your kidneys if you do get lost.

Here are the specifics:

June 25 - 28th
Fanfaire 2009 (EQ 10th anniversary)
Bally's Las Vegas
Rooms $59 / night on the 25th
Rooms $79 / night for 26th and 27th
Registration for weekend $89 (or daily passes for $39)
Airfare and Other: Varies of course.

Let's do it. Most of you guys have kids etc.. now even more reason to get out of town for the weekend. This would be a great time. Hell, I had fun in Atlanta with Cyan, Rot and Val a few years ago and with Dardore and Val in Vegas the year after that. I'll definately go if we can get a good crowd to attend.

Only issue is the airfare atm....$700.00 for both of us in on Friday morning from Houston Hobby and out on the last flight Sunday. Lemme see if I can get that approved by the ol' lady and see what we can do.

I might try to go. The only problem I forsee is that I have the whole next week off (July 4th) after it for family vacation, and while I have the time I am not sure if my work will let me get away with being out that much in that period of time. Let me check into it. I think it would definitely be a blast.

Don't know if I can do this without the wife tagging along - working the wife faction now. I will see what I can work out :)

We could bring the wives if that makes it doable. Mine had a good time last time I was out there but we did things like see the Cirque shows, flew into the Grand Canyon etc... That got expensive.

I'm out unfortunately. I'm probably more able to hit the ATL area than Vegas.

I'm a sucker for FanFaire - booked my trip last night. Anyone else interested in going this year? You can't beat an EQ 10 year celebration event. That kind of thing will
happen only once in our lifetime. I'd love to hang with some of you guys out there. Let's make it happen...

Unfortunately I am going on vacation already the following week. I actually kinda waned to go this year, but I think taking that much time in succession at work would not be good. I hope you get some peeps to go with you though, I would love to see whatever thinks about FR.

I really wish I could bro, but I can't without the wife. If the airfare was cheaper, I'd be there in a heartbeat... Don't know anyone that works for an airline by chance do ya :) haha.

I'm out the door to catch a 6:40 EST flight to Vegas. Looking forward to hanging out with Leko (who will be there this year) and lots of other folks. I should be able to post some updates here and / or on my blog http://completeheal.com. I'm taking my new gaming laptop, which will play EQ2 and Vanguard at 1900x1200 with high quality and balanced settings respectively. Will also have my iphone so I should be rather connected. Anyways, gotta run.

I really looked into going this year, but there was no getting around a pretty expensive flight from Philly to Vegas and this isn't a good year for it financially.

I'm on the ground and online inside the hotel. The only thing missing from my room is some 70s Magnum P.I. type music. I'm currently in the South tower, which hasn't been renovated, and it's sketch city. I don't think anyone has messed with furniture, carpet or interior design since before I was born. Since it's just me and I'd rather spend the extra cash on other things I'm not too worried about it but I did call the front desk to make sure I don't get stuck with a "you screwed up the room charge" upon checkout. I'm about to go grab something to eat and look around. On a positive note, my room is looking right over the pool at the Paris hotel. Nice scenery for sure. I've been debating just going down there and chilling for the weekend vs. hanging out and going to panels. It's a toss up at this point :)

Back later... Oh yeah, Leko if you see this give me a call. Left your cell number at home.

Keep us updated Laz. Look forward to hearing about it. Take some pics of your room. I was surprised they are having it at Bally's - what a shithole.

I think I'll do most of my updating on my blog site, just to avoid having to do two sets of updates. I've got the first pics up there now. The site is http://completeheal.com. Wish you guys were here. We should do DragonCon for the FunCom party later this summer in Atlanta. I hear that's pretty cool.
