Just wondering here if anything has been done for Everquest 2?

This years WoW one looks to be Pimp your mount, although with their sense of humour I'm kind of wondering if it will appear in the game...

I still think last years Molten Core Console edition and the unforgettable New bard class were better. Very slickly done too especially with the preview video for molten core unleashed :)

So has anyone seen any other good April fools jokes around for other MMO's?

No pranks that I know of but EQ2 had a big event for Bristlebane, the god of mischief!

"Jesters, thieves, bards and fans of mischief are invited to enjoy the festivities that surround Bristlebane's Day! You never know what laughs and pranks are to be found, during this enjoyable time of year. Celebrators are present in every home city, and the oddest of objects have been spotted in Antonica, The Commonlands, Darklight Wood, Timorous Deep and Greater Faydark! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for special events occuring only on the highest of silly days, 4/1/2009! Festivities begin on Tuesday, March 31st and run through Wednesday April 8th. They will conclude the morning of Thursday, April 9th.
It's that time again! Bristlebane Day is approaching and the old trickster is ready to spread mayhem all around Norrath once again!

Pranks and jokes abound! Bristlebane's worshippers are going to be out in force to spread the mischief.

Many quests from previous years will be returning. So if you missed them before, now is your chance! Amongst the returning quests is Raticle.

There's a new addition to the great halfling's line up of mayhem and fun this year. In Antonica, The Commonlands, Darklight Wood, Timorous Deep, or Greater Faydark you will find some unique shinies. Collect them all and turn them in to see what you get!

Don't forget that some of the fun is ONLY available on Bristlebane Day (4/1/09), whereas the rest of the celebrations span the entire week.

Make sure you do all the tasks set to you, and keep a close eye on the trickster! He's got a special present this year that you don't want to miss! It's an "altering" experience!"

^^^^^

Yea I just saw that last night, all the chests were changed to that.

I also had a chance to check out 90% of the new Raid X2 zone in Lavastorm. (we almost finished) Some NICE upgrades dropped, even for someone like me who has my mythical and has been raiding for a few years. Also the Raid X2 keeps it more personable, I quite enjoyed it.

I'm not sure if I want to know what's in that chest ;)

But it looks like WoW is innovating here, for years its always been EQ2 leading the way on new ideas for MMO's, but now I think
WoW could have taken a decisive lead, and at the same time pull the rug from underneath WaR's clearly outdated PvP system.

Ranked Dance battles

A ranked dance off in the Eye raid instance

Yep, now even the cities are no long safe as you can "serve" up your opponents with a killer dance combo,

A the same time earning killer new rewards, check out that shirt!

So is this the end for conventional pvp? :)
