subject says it all.
If not, what was your primary motivation for raiding?

Honestly I'm a part of a close guild that have been playing with each other for a looooonnnnggg time. We raid RoK/TSO 3 nights a week very casually, not hardcore by any means. So the drops are nice but its more about playing with my guildies. I guess another part of it is seeing the end-game content, some players never even get to see it.

The guild I'm in is casual and raids sort of every so often, it tends to be all or nothing though since once you start an instance there is the lure to clear it out before the end of the weeks timer (or at least to give us a chance to try something harder in the instance) and reset hence we go from raiding 3 times a week to nothing.
As for motivation, it changes, to start with the main motivation is to see the end game and go through the storyline which is enjoyable, after that is done though the main motivation left is for fun to get together with the same friends, occasionally I do find myself raiding for loot though. When that happens it normally means the raiding takes a pause though since I think you need to be hardcore to treat a game like a job, in our guild people tend to drift off to do other things instead.
