About 3 weeks ago I went and picked up an Apple TV (around $250) so that I could install Boxee on it. (http://boxee.tv/) I am pretty impressed with Boxee over all, but this weekend I installed PlayOn on my main rig and am using its uPnP features on the 360 to watch Hulu etc. I went ahead an purchased it ($30) and can honestly say that PlayOn's quailty of video (at least with hulu) is phenomenal. It makes me want to put my AppleTV up on ebay. If you have a 360 and want to watch Hulu, CBS, parts of ESPN and some other stuff, check out PlayOn: http://www.themediamall.com/playon

I've seen PlayOn work and it works really well. I've considered buying it but I honestly don't watch a lot of TV. It works on PS3/360 and soon will be supporting Wii also (early 2009 I think they said)

Its absolutely awesome. I have been using it the last few nights. I use it combined with Orb for the movies I have on my PC and I very very impressed.

I installed windows vista last night. It comes with windows Media center which connets to the 360 to wathc movies, listen to music, etc. What is Orb? I am trying to copy my DVDs from my library to my computer so I can watch them on demand. I got one working last night but the process is less than appealing. Takes over an hour to rip the dvd. I also took back the apple tv and plan to just use either vista or playon. I wish they would get support for ABC. All the shows we watch are on ABC.

I have really gotten my "media" system down to where I like it at this point with Orb and PlayOn. PlayOn handles the TV and Orb for streaming the movies.

I didn't realize it till yesterday, but there is a whole plug in infastructure to PlayOn now. You can pretty much plug In any video site. Pretty sweet for only $25: PlayOn Plugin Master ListAPI Docs (to code against)

Don't ebay the AppleTV. I've been wanting to get one, but I'm not paying retail pricing for it. Lemme know if you were seriously considering getting rid of it.
