Neriak is a hopping place these days. Noob channel for FP loaded.
I know many are like me and doing this only for free xp and items. However, chat is full of people from WoW who are giving EQ2 a whirl. Overall success it seems for SOE and EQ2

Totally agree. Even against WOW, EQ2's strong point is TONS of great content. I think people get grinded out with alts in the 30s-50s so a mass of people all getting in at the ground level at about the same time is a total win for SOE. Its a good program and pretty well thought out.
