Should be fun. I patched up this morning and logged in to the new Shadow Odyssey login screen. At the character select screen it says I'm getting a 10% bonus on all alts since I have one 80 character. Sure would be cool to have 3 or 4. All servers are locked though, so it looks like it won't be up till tonight. I picked up the WOW expansion last week and made a new Death Knight. It's fun as hell. There sure are lots of options to choose from these days. If only there were more time in the day...

p.s. Re: EQ2, What are you guys planning on doing? What characters / levels are you currently planning on focusing on in the expansion? Do you think this will bring new life into Nagafen and EQ2 in general?

I count 8 instanced dungeons that allow minimum of level 50! With mentoring it should make for easy grouping. Love the xp bonus with each 80 toon as well.
As to EQ2 in general - I don't know - I am hoping for a revival. I know, like cyan, I am pumped!

One other thing I like. I have said many times I think entrances to new zones ought to be a part of existing zones. I think this may do that to some extent. For instance, I hope the everfrost dungeons have an ice theme etc.

Theo I haven't seen them all, but from what I played in Beta, that is how it was. Cyanbane wrote:Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot!
I'm pumped. Nice to see alot of excitement around this expansion and that was coming from the administrator of warhammer-daily.com :P I am excited, I'm hoping the gear from this expansion will help a few more of my guildies get their mythicals. Already checking out one of the new raid zones this week, can't wait to see the new drops. Depending on when everyone in my guild gets their expansion up and running, it may even be late tonight if we get enough of us.

Do you think this will bring new life into Nagafen and EQ2 in general? I plan on raiding again if I get in a good guild. However, I really may play more alts with the bonus experience. After my 80 ranger I have a 70 fury, 55 coercer, and new 38 zerker. That gives me one of each archtype :P The bonus xp plus the already increased pace that is coming for 20-70 and I don't see why not. My primary hope is that this expansion is so group friendly that I find a good static group to play the content with. This is one reason I am playing alts, lets face it, my ranger is never a great need as much as I love the class. I have enough fun with them all that I don't mind playing any of the above toons I will be focusing on. If grouping is restored to prominence you will also see a return to good pvp.

Do you think this will bring new life into Nagafen and EQ2 in general? The Dirge is currently just shy of 77 and the Wiz is at 63. I have only been concentrating on the Wiz the last few weeks in prep for TSO. I have toyed with the idea of getting the Dirge up to 80 real quick just for the bonus XP to help edge the Wiz up faster, but I just have so much fun playing the Wiz. I think on naggy that it looks a lot deader than it really is because of the Guild Halls. The guild I am in is non-raid but has 500+ unique accounts so it is pretty busy in side the castle, I came back to the wiz I think at lvl 56 or so and there really wasn't much group options in the low 50s, but the upper 50s and low 60s generally I could get a group each night if I wanted, I have just found solo'ing with the Wiz so much more viable so I have been going through all the sets at Loping Plain lately. I will prob play with both in expansion based on whoever is needed at the time. If I can find a casual raid group I will raid some more or pickups. Don't have the time for req raiding at the moment. But I will enjoy having 2 chars in 70s soon and the ability to choose. I also have a Temp around 13 and have toyed with the idea of a tank (to completed the arch set). Once I hit 80 on Dirge/Wiz wil def be viable option with the +20%.
