Hit over 1000 quests completed in EQ2 recently on my main toon. Sitting at 1021 now. Curious what everyone else is at?

For my characters 246 (level 42 Froglok Guardian), 200 for my Ranger, and 161 for my Warden, I have a thing for the Frogloks ;)

I've not been on the past week though, just been chilling out and also messing around with the plague event in WoW, it's a one off event where you
can get infected as a zombie and go around infecting others (when you become a zombie you become a third faction effectively for your brief life), with
skills like Lurch(run for a bit), Retch (long distance throwing up that also infects) and corpse explosion its a great laugh.

Not sure what the new players make of it while levelling up, as someone mentioned they were questing in a remote area of Azeroth, went up this giant lift to the horde
base to be greeted by 20 or so zombies clamouring for their brains :D (someone had gone around and infected all the quest NPC's which then went on to take over the base, its cool to see the disease spread itself)

I do like these sort of events while they last, its good to see a bit more randomness in a MMO, surprised they implemented it the way they did though, I thought letting players disrupt the game world was frowned upon these days in MMO's.

Sounds familiar :)

I think the original one back in 2005 was a little more viral than SOE wanted. It ran a little rampant if I remember correctly.

It looks like Blizzard were learning from EQ2, I've heard of something similar happening really badly on UO - that one so I heard was totally out of control (not sure if it was a bug?). I think it is best to let these things run wild for a week or two anyway especially when the game is normally tightly controlled by storyline, I know with the current plague people are going into the lowbee areas and infecting everyone making it a gankfest as the guards turn into zombies and feast on the level 1's :)

I'd still like to see some of epic live events that I heard about with EQ, wasn't Guk overrun by the Frogloks during the game rather then a historical thing? Done properly that would be something, maybe its best to be experienced as a sort of historical back in time/shared time instance though, it would allow everyone to get involved.

My main's currently on 947 quests (ooh, nearly the 1k mark)

We have a few serious questors in our guild though - four guildies have completed over 2000 (with another 3 in the 1900s), with the top questor being at 3205 completed quests!
