So I got a Kindle a few weeks ago (the main reason you haven't seen me on here much at night) and I have been reading and rereading books at a pretty much insane pace. I am about half way through Game of Thrones (reread) and I had honestly just forgot how brutal RR Martin really was, and ohhh I soo love it. I just got done with Malazan book 1, where as I think Erikson might be a better character developer (maybe his world is more fantasy than RR Martin so he has the ability to play with them more?) but I had forgotten just how great of an intrigue storyline writer Martin is.

So has anyone else here read any RR Martin? Are you pumped about the new HBO series? Do you think it will be a good adaptation? bad?
