So, I got in a beta. The client is 9 gigs and wants to download via torrent. I picked up utorrent and tested my upload and download speeds. My d/l was like 20 megs and my upload was 256k. I set the upload speed at the 256k limit. This thing is downloading the beta client at 1k / sec so it says I have like 1 year 9 weeks to get the file. Surely, I'm doing something wrong. Any ideas on how to configure things to get a more reasonable download speed?

The status thing says 6/407 seeds and 66/6200 peers. I have no idea what I'm doing really but I can't seem to get any decent speeds here. I tested the port to see if it's forwarded properly and it looks good.

Tips would be appreciated or I'm in for a loooooooooooong d/l.

The dl speed should increase over a period of time. I noticed as I had more to share my dl speed increased a bit.

Some people say constant uploads cause your isp to bottleneck you - it is believed by putting your uploading on a timer - i.e. 2hour on 1hour off - does away with the isp bottlenecking - I could never verify this but did it anyway.

Depending on your download though I have found 10gigs will take me 48hrs or so - unless you get in a private network - so yea, it sucks.

yha make sure 46322 and 6880-6999 and open and going to the PC you think they are going to.

The download got faster and I got it installed tonight. I can get to server select but it says "The game is currently closed - please try again later." Is that what you see?
