So for the last few nights I have been playing a bunch of the Too Human demo and I am pretty pumped about the game itself. It felt a lot like Mass Effect but the combat is definitely a little more interesting and more twich gameplay (closest I can think to it would be Diablo II). The camera positioning takes some getting used to at stuff, but over all it does a great job of getting me excited about the game. I saw where someone had said the game has been in de for around 8 years and was originally planned for the Playstation 1 (yeah, PS1 ;) so I thought that was really interesting. But if you have played the demo you can only play the commando class (which is fun) but the other 4 classes look pretty sweet, so I was pumped when I read this on the wiki:

A planned demo of the game was released on Xbox Live on July 14, 2008 as part of the Microsoft "Bringing it Home" E3 Marketplace content. The demo includes 1 playable class, the Champion, and gameplay is restricted to part of a single level with cutscenes included. Online co-operative play is not featured in the demo. An easter egg was found by setting the date forward on the Xbox 360 unlocking the Berserker and Commando classes. A glitch was also found in the demo, allowing players to access the Bio Engineer and Defender.

Not quite sure how to do the last 2, but I will post here when I do figure it out.

Good interview with Denis Dyack on the ins and outs of working on the Too Human IP for almost 10 years and just now seeing the first game from it:

OK. I am about half way through the game.

Pros:

Battle system is awesome. I love the twitch combat and the character animations are supurb.
Rune system. I REALLY like the plug and play aspect of the weapons and runes for armor/weaps and the "charms"? for questers.
Graphics are pretty top knotch. I feel like there was certainly a good over all deisgn for the environments and the NPCs etc.

Cons:

Storyline isn't all that great (alteast so far). I am comparing to Mass Effect which has a hell of a storyline.
Fights get repetitive. Even with all the customizations, I still find myself pretty much executing the same manuevers over and over. This is still better than FF-ish menu selections, but it does get tedious.
Death scene is a pain in the ass. Valkyrie is cool and all, but when I die (sometimes over and over) I DO NOT want to wait for 30 seconds to see the animation EVERY time.

7ish out of 10.
