Didn't catch opening show but saw it tonight.
Thoughts - somewhat disturbing - by far the darkest Batman yet - opposite end of spectrum from spiderman flicks. Alot of moral dilemma and manipulation - The joker as advertised is made electric throughout by Ledger - you can't keep your eyes off him.

That one was very dark - in fact literally darker - Burton does everything washed out and has a certain darkness to everything he does. This is darker in that it seems to take itself more serious - I don't know if this makes any sense but in Dark Knight all the consequences for each characters actions just seem to hit closer to home - this is demented in a much more real way.

It was definitely quite good. Might be the best one ever. I was bothered by some of the super human things Batman did in the movie, but I guess when watching a comic book movie you have to take them with a grain of salt. Heath Ledger really was excellent.
