10:56cst Woot! , I'm the early bird. Got the patcher starting to load and hauling at 278kbs... not bad, 14MB download...AoC Here I Come!!
10:58cst oopss... Little dissapointed, immediately another patch content file loading follows... another 14MB. NP, the adreneline is flowing, I can wait it out
11:02cst and another 14.1MB patch loading....starting to get sleepy.... and tired of listening to silence. /plays Say by John Mayer
11:03cst another unable to connect to authenication error message...I cry alittle inside
11:04cst another extended downtime message, this time extended till 5am GMT....or midnight cst.... I cry a little more
11:14cst the wait continues...till midnight at least
12:02 Still cannot get in.... About a gallon coffee in me and I am trying to stick it out.
12:03 Another extended downtime message...This time another hour.... 6GMT, or 1:00 am central time. My heart begins to sink as I nervously look for something to kick /emote Looks for the dog
12:38am After cleaning up the blood /giggles I found myself looking for stuff to clean(which my wife was not too happy about waking up in the middle of the night with the vacuum going). I don't know, don't ask... Still awaiting that hour hand to hit 1:00am. If there's another delay, I might have to mow my grass to stay awake..
12:49am Well message says servers are back up...so I eagerly log in....and another authenication error message and something about passwords are case sensitive. I change password like 4 times and continue to get error messages... Think I'll simply pass out here on my laptop ...zzzzzzz
6:43am I was awakened with a stranger jumping on my back and saying "Giddy Up" daddy. After about 5 minutes on playing horse...being the horse, and being degraded and being payed back from God for the years of being an jerk to other people I try to log in
6:57am I'm in... and I get started on my epic journey to waste more of my life in another MMO. The initial screen I was seeing showed no body, no environment, simply white and clipping errors.... ahhh I miss launch dates. With some issues resolved, I begin my adventure into the world of AoC. Finally, I can play.
7:45 It's off to work I go....
If you tied me to a pole and wouldn't let me go untill I graded this release, I'd give it a "D" so far. It's release day and I am in... but the lack of communication, the misleading of release time, the misinformation concerning the early release access, and the complete lack of responses from the developers... I'm being nice when I give it a "D". I hope this is cleaned up down the road.

I am beginning to wonder if they are planning these patches in the middle of really high population times to try and ease the burden on the servers.

Well fuck me.... Would have been nice if someone could have let me know that normal release would not be available untill 12PM est... The sons of bitches led everyone to believe this patch would make the game go live...
Arrgg....
Not that it pisses me off too much...I do play EQ2 ya know :)

If it makes you feel any better, I went to bed early and woke up early 4:30 AM and it's still down as far as I can tell. Guess I'll still be in Tortage tonight :(

Thats odd, it was up late last night (around 2am) I was able to log in and set up some stuff on the broker.
