I haven't "played" in probably a good month and a half or so. What is everyone thinking? Is population dwindling or is this just the post 6 month expansion lull? I do remember personally feeling this way at about this time last year. The only thing is that there really wasn't any newer games coming out last year.

I am actually playing more heavily now than I have since RoK launch (short-lived) and EoF before that. Hitting 80 kind of changed my mindset a little I guess.
I completed my epic, I run instances for loot, I raid often with guild, we pvp nightly when not raiding, I finished all the JW quest lines and got my hammer for JW port, and I pvp some more. On top of that I even started crafting again waste of time thought it seems :)

I'm playing much more in the AOC closed beta atm. I have barely touched eq2 for over 2 weeks now.

I retired from all SOE games about a month ago. Good times, but I needed something new. Heading to AOC and a more casual play style.

I've been grinding away at the crafting, plus an occassional raid. It really does feel like something to do while waiting for AoC though...

I still play daily... Helping a few guildies who came started playing late into the expansion get to 80 and their epics. When I'm not dragging Low-Mid 70s through RoK instances, I'm trying to level my Swashy to 80 also... he is 71.

If you're going to a PVP server, check out the guild http://covenantofthephoenix.com. The guild is a pretty big multi-gaming guild and we have tons of folks going to AoC, day 1.

I logged in on my 31 ranger last night while the AoC servers were being updated and made "Champion"... woot! I somehow soloed a 26 defiler for the title. I don't know how I beat a higher level healer, but she must have underestimated my DPS and didn't heal when she should have. It wasn't even a gank... a fair 1v1 fight.

I noticed an overall decline in the EQ2 population. I mean it’s been a good 6 months since RoK, a lot of people are moving around to mix things up. Also in most areas the weather is getting nicer, its light out longer at night… people in general just aren’t inside playing games as much. The population will rise again once most schools are out. And will rise again when official talk of the next expansion starts, and then there will be the last minute people who don’t come back until after the expansion. It always happens…

I have not played much of anything for the last month. Been busy IRL. Sold my house, moved, my wife had surgery, lots of stuff going on. I will get back into eq2 soon and hopefully get the podcast going again.

I started on AoC last saturday on the early access program. This is a freaking great game. I had ZERO problems on release day.
