I've been idly looking at AoC, but I can't quite believe that they're pulling the same crap as WoW does and forcing everyone in the EU to only play on the EU servers.

How can any company make an MMO and NOT comprehend that the gaming world is fairly international and that some of us in Europe have US (and elsewhere) based friends we'd like to be able to group with?

It really is stupid that they do that. They should just take a look at this forums stats, 40% of our users are over seas. There is a HUGE market in a game that caters to the world's players.
