I can't make this stuff up. Chris Kozak (Aeralik) alledgedly agrees to look the other way in the name of getting mythicals for his guild...

Is this enough to warrant termination? Will SOE do anything? See below:

Interesting, don't know if that really amounts to much controversy aside from the verve LFG gives it. He honestly seems pathetic to me personally and it is an embarrassment for the EQ2 community that he has been able to garner such a voice and following.

Yeah, I think LFG is starting too look about as silly as the dev. The difference is the dev gets paid by SOE.

Just so you guys know, unless I am asked by law enforcement I will never look at your PMs on this board. I personally don't think that is a sound way to run a forum community.

The word "ethical" means so many different things to so many different people. This is how I break it down.
LFG is turning in to a revenge driven, ego fueld, person who just lost about 5% of a power trip. He still has his traffic, but he lost the word official.
He also pretends to not know why he would be removed from the influencer program. Here are some guesses on my part:
http://www.eq2flames.com/hall-flames/15436-gallenite-leaving-eq2.html
http://www.eq2flames.com/hall-flames/16578-unhallowed-triad-unrest-moved-test-soe.html
etc.
I can dig more up later I guess. But this is probably what is referred to as "abuse".
The second probably should have been adressed though.
At this point in time its as if he has declared total war on SOE's devs.
The private message, allowing the devs information on his website, pointing out every error, etc.
Reminds me of middle school.

I personally don't think those two articles are abuse, and I certainly think they are news worthy and I am glad that he posted them.

When you start calling out devs by name and going through PM's it starts to look tabloid-ish though. Not to say it isn't interesting or newsworthy, but I don't think it helps people feel better about using your site or sending PMs on it.

I think that the ironic thing is that if LFG had evidence that the devs were reading private PMs on the official forums I bet he would probably have a completely different attitude towards the case. I think he is just looking around for page views at this point.

It doesn't take private PMs for everyone to know about you guy's Ranger Orgies. Its the talk of Nagafen, everyone knows if you want to shake your rump with other male Rangers you head to Leko's place in South Qeynos.

Damn it!!!

We had been so desecrate. I even made Fupa dress up like Gorador when coming over.

In hindsight that may have been my downfall.

Normally i don't rant... but i'll let the shit hit the fan

Right now what SoE is doing is driving a wedge between casual and the more hard core players. And i'm not talking like raiding every day hardcore. But people who know how to play the game, the one who've been around for a while. These people are pissed at SoE because of this, it not just the uber raiders, it the passioned base of the game who are pissed.

And SoE KEEP doing thing that leave people pissed. Shard of hate (a raiding zone) is coming in the next update, who has a preview of it? An eq2 community site that talks about raiding? NOPE! An eq2 Blog that talks about different raid zone in Eq2? NOPE! Did any popular raid siet/blog get it nope? But Winwin got it, but i allready did a huge post on the other thread. If SoE is going to realse Raid content they can show who ever they want, BUT at least bring a couple people form the raid community as well. I mean if SoE was putting out new tradeskill stuff, and http://eq2.raidmobs.com/ got the preview, and eq2traders was not invited. Tradeskillers would be pissed.

When Fan Faire comes, your going to see a bunch of angry people there, becasue SoE has pissed off their base.

SOE might be pissing people off, but right now LFG just seems determined to show himself of as a classless prick - publishing other people's PMs should be just as damaging to his "community" as SOE removing him from the influencer program.

How can you even try to deflect from the fact that a Dev gave his guild exploit information?

The very fact that he gave the information is the issue here not how the comunity found out. all LFG is doing is blowing the whistle on SOE and sometimes whistle blowers have to use certian tactics to bring the hidden action of unethical practices to light.

They had already found the actual exploit, it was more a case of he saying go ahead. The dev did not say "hey guys ,you may not know this yet, but if you just do a.b.c. at this time you will take him".

This is just proof that devs should only be allowed to play on test. I know someone is going to chime in and say they should be able to pay their money and play like others....to that I say shananagians.....they are employees and are bound by sweepstakes rules.

Personally I think a dev mole has infiltrated Lekos infamous Ranger parties. I just hope the pics of the ratonga pole dancing contest never surface......Now that was a party.

Im really looking forward to warhammer. A fresh start will be good with a whole new community team. I just hope the game lives up to my expectations.

I'm not - I'm just surprised that LFGs community is so supportive of him violating a very basic trust.

If you're attacking someone for violating trust, doing it by violating another trust just makes you look like an asshat.

My internal response to myself these days are "Do I really care? I mean AOC and Warhammer should be out soon.... should I really give a crap anymore?"

Maybe just me...but my mentality has changed over the last 2 weeks. I'll be in warhammer I hope soon and just hope it's better than EQ2.

You know what just cracks me up is that they think that "Playing with the devs" is going to get people on the test server.... come on guys.... seriously..... playing with the devs??! /shakes head and sighs

These people are getting rediculous..... and seemingly desperate...... the just don't get it..

You know whats funny Dardore?

The fact that many of the community cheerleaders will see playing with a Dev as the highlight of their year. Sad but true. I feel shame for them. They think by being the happy SOE community leader that someone at SOE will befriend them and perhaps one day they will get a job as a community rep for EQ2.

Why? It's not like you're really *getting* anything. I think there need to be boundaries, i.e. they won't raid stuff first and deny people unique drops, but I think they need to play the game in a real environment- how motivated are you going to be to play something day in and out that you can't interact with 'real' people on? How are they going to find the things that actually do make it into production, and see people's points about what playing with certain things in production are like?

My task is done/My song has ceased/My theme has died into an echo/It is fit.
