Somewhat impressed, I cannot help but hope that they are able to balance all of these classes. I mean EQ2 is such a prime example where class balance was (and still is) a huge issue. The more classes, the harder it is to ensue balance in the game. I hope they don't have the same issues....

Well, the difference is that each class has a specific role (as seen above the chart) that relates directly to its functionality. Those are the primary roles that need to be balanced, and they each have one other specific role that they are weak against (I think that was posted in another thread here). And another thing that is cool is that many healer classes are also melee classes... giving the healers something to do other than sit back and manage health and buffs/debuffs. EQ2 doesn't have specific functions for all of the classes, which makes things a bit harder to balance.
