Hell no... We are good with the DS we don't even play and the PSP. Also, there was an article in the news not too long ago about 3D movies/games and its affects on children. I don't always believe what I read, but it does affect our decisions on letting the kids watch or play 3D.

This wasn't the actual article, but a quick google search on it:

The only interest I have in it is "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon" at the mo, due to it being by Julian Gollop, the creator of Chaos and the genius behind Lasersquad :D although most people know him for the much later XCom series.

The idea of 3D though without the need for 3D glasses though is intriguing, if it works as well as the EQ2 3D I saw running at Vegas (that required glasses) then it'll be great, there I was surprised how good the technology worked, it was certainly better then the DVD's for 3D TV they've played around with at my work.

Whether its more of a strain on the eyes though is hard to tell, I guess for long gaming sessions there is always the option to turn things off, the only thing that has held me back from going for a 3D monitor here has been the small sizes on offer, I'm really looking for 26/27" for the next monitor.
