I think I'm right in saying that the SOE podcast said they'd be giving all lapsed Vanguard subscriptions some free time over the holidays, starting 18th December.

I was really sad to give up my All Access pass and lose Vanguard, because I so wanted it to be a success. I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements made over the last few months, and trying to justify to myself paying those extra few bucks :-)

So maybe SOE will manage to do something right this holiday and re-ignite some ex-Vanguarder's love for the game...

It would be cool to see people give VG another chance, especially since so many are getting worn our or jaded with EQ2. I have had my station access up for the last month or two and Vanguard is actually pretty cool these days. Not perfect but much much better. I'm on Xeth with a level 11 Warrior named Lazaretto and joined Revelry and Honor. That being said, I'm mainly playing EQ2 but VG is fun to play around with when nothings going on in the other game.

I got Vanguard for my birthday. Installing it now.

What server do you all play one?

I'm on Xeth. Went over to play with Jaye's guild.

Cool, will be there shortly but TBH I may not stay. I am pretty sure I am done with SOE.

Who is Jaye?

Also, what's the possibility that if some of us come over that we can guarentee that we will be able to play together. One thing I hated about get together guilds or everyone playing on the same server is that people wouldn't actually be playing together, but just in the same guild, or server, or whatever.

I'd like to play another game, but I also want to make a good group that I can depend on playing together.

Possible? Cause I sure as hell am not finding it in EQ2 anymore.

There's a name from the past - I remember Jaye from Prexus (EQ1) days. Some of those 'odds and ends' links there bring back happy memories :)

Now I've just got to wait and see if they actually do this thing; wasn't it supposed to be from today (hard to confirm what with no announcement on any SOE website I can find...)?

Hard to say. I've found it pretty difficult to get the same people on at the same times while maintaing similar levels on a consistent basis. I'd be up for a very laid back Vanguard run as a small group of players if there are any takers. I'm spending most of my time trying to get through the EQ2 ROK raid progression. We are in Veeshan's Peak atm and raiding nightly. I'd take a night or two off a week to play some VG if we could get 3-4 guys from here who had interest in leveling up together and seeing the content on a pretty casual basis.
