I just watched the WOW thematic trailer that was played running up to the UFC fight night on Spike. I have to say it made me want to reload WOW even though I left after one month because I didn't care for it.
Blizzard has got marketing figured out. They are the only advertiser for the first 30 minutes and got their trailer played right before the first fight.
Why doesn't EQ2 do something similar? Are they not in the same market?

lol, that is true. I think EQ2 just does not care, I would love to ask for a group and get an invite 2 seconds later! We need more players! SOE you need to put better ADS up. Make one that shows that lawyers, teachers, students, and every other group of people play these kinda games!

I love the Mr. T Dark elf Mowhawk add.
And after getting randomly booted in the middle of a raid today I'm not sure SOE can stand larger server loads because they certainly can't manage the loads on AB right now.
