I finished the work on this a couple of days ago. It is being sent off to QA and test and will hit live in the next big update, GU56.
Here is what it will look like when it hits test.
Tier 1 will cost the same amount of shards as it did before.
Tier 2 will cost the same amount of shards as it did before. It will also cost around 5 platinum. It will no longer cost the tier 1 armor piece.
Tier 3 will cost the raid dropped mold, the same void shards it did before, and around 9 platinum. You will no longer have to trade the mold in for a pattern. You will no longer need the tier 2 piece to buy the tier 3 piece. If you have traded a mold for a pattern, that vendor will let you trade the pattern back in for the mold.Re:Re:Idea about Ward of Elements gear

Not sure why there is the need for this change here myself, the only justification I can see for this change is due to level 80 being below where the bulk of the population will be in future hence they've got to make it easier for people to acquire the gear.
Since he's talking about void shards then I hope this change is limited purely to the TSO content, as apart from making the gear slightly easier to acquire the only other effect will be to allow raiders to skip the dungeons.
Its one area of the game that I think there has been a problem for too long there too, raiders need to be powerful to do the epic stuff, but they quickly out-gear all the quest and dungeon content since it does not have any mechanic in it to autoscale, then complain that its all too easy, just a few % hit special abilities added to mobs would do the trick I reckon.

Not a bad idea. This will let players move past TSO raids faters now.
