Got heavily into this one the weekend, its an odd one, but the whole game is just you on a motorbike trying to get around some impossible looking tracks. If you ever played an ancient game on the Spectrum, Kickstart 2 then its the closest to this game I remember seeing. Silly video here but what's not to like about a game that has explosives AND rag doll physics. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9vd2o_trial-hd-trailer-1_videogamesOne that shows the game play a little better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQAmbTEOJG8Normally games that just let you restart over and over again at the same point with a maximum of 500 tries and 30 minutes per a course would just feel too easy, this one really did need it, how though you do hard courses (there is an extreme difficulty after it) flawlessly must take some practice, we were scraping through with 250+ crashes. Some of the slow speed crashes were so pitiful they were more hilarious then the high explosive ones too :) Really worth trying the demo on at least, probably the definitive game in the "motorbike in the disused factory sometimes full of explosives" genre :P

Actually I never played either of those, I will have to hunt down Marble madness though as that's something of a legendary game. But looking again at Kickstart 2 (I was sure I played this on the spectrum) there is a feature I forgot all about and would be great to see added to TrialsHD Kickstart 2 for the AmigaThe two player split screen. Actually while Kickstart 2 was a good fun game we also had a lot of laughs with the bugs in it, occasionally the guy you were competing against would fall through a completely solid obstacle, or sail undamaged through a fence without coming off :) Its one of the few times where a few bugs actually improved things.

Lomax, don't wander too far in your search for Marble Madness, because there is a pretty good version on the Xbox Live arcade - Marble Blast UltraIf you don't want to pay to try it there is also what appears to be the full version of the same game available at Instant ActionI agree about Trials HD by the way, it's one of those rare games that has the kids screaming with delight every time they play it. The PC version, called Trials 2 SE, is now only £5.99GB on Steam and is worth buying just to have as one of those "I'll be up to bed in two minutes love, I'm just finishing this last beer" games.

Its also one of those games you can just enjoy sitting back and watching someone else play it to a point, although Moonstone on the Amiga still has the title for that with me, full loot pvp and an engaging PVE game ;) (The action starts at about 3 minutes in, and it shows just a fraction of the number of ways to die in it. Actually there was something magical about the whole setting of the game, and sitting back and watching 4 new players discover the game was very enjoyable.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1lbCWqiqykAnd cheers, I'll check that out on the MarbleMadness, will try the online version when I get home. The Trials 2 SE is intriguing me, the question I have is whether my PS1 joysticks still work now that I've upgraded to Win7, if so I could be well set here, although I have doubts that it'll be as good as with the XBOX gamepad, worth paying £5.98 to find out though.
