So I got a PS3 and am renting movies in Blu Ray now. So i was thinking about it, I don't really plan on buying that many movies in Blu Ray mainly because I already have all the ones I would watch multiple times in DVD. But there are a few that I think I would LOVE to see in the newer more detailed format (vs dvd). So my question is

What 5 movies would you rebuy (you already own in a lesser format) just to see in a better format?

My list:

1.) Band of Brothers (set - but counts as one purchase)
2.) Usual Suspects
3.) The Goonies
4.) Top Gun
5.) V for Vendetta

I don't own a whole lot of movies, but I might buy:

1. Superman Returns
2. Saving Private Ryan
3. V for Vendetta
4. LOTR: Return of the King
5. Transformers

I'm skeptical that movies shot in the 80's were even shot in a high enough resolution to matter.

Interesting thread on that, it really just depends on what they were recorded at, but a lot were recorded on 35mm which is actually 5k pixels (which is way more than enough) to downgrade to HD.

I had forgotten how good The Fugitive was (Harrison Ford version) adding to my netflix queue right now, I need to watch that again.
