I am starting to see a decent amount of hype for this title that seemingly has come out of no where. Any of you guys played or plan on playing? Was anyone in the beta? I have heard it is a beautiful game.

I've seen talk of it on and off over the last few months but the hype certainly has built up tremendously in the last few weeks as they have had a few open beta weekends. I'm hearing lots of good things about it. The game look incredible and the added element of flight seems very cool. There are some good videos at http://keenandgraev.com that you should check out. I'll probably give it a shot, I'm a sucker for new releases.

I went ahead and preordered the collector's addition of this on a whim, I plan on trying to play some in next weekends beta.

Those hi res pics look pretty awesome. The UI looks familiar somehow, although I can't put my finger on what it reminds me of... It's mighty tempting, but right now I'm focusing on finally dragging both my mains up to 80 - quick, before the rotten sods put the level limit up again.. :)

It does look good, but the manga look definitely isn't for me, plus I have waaay to much to do in EQ2 with a side order of WAR these days (only just started that with some friends to try and pull them away from WoW, its telling there when out of five people one has had to buy a new PC to run even WAR and another looks to be struggling to get a playable frame rate, I might see if I can tempt them over after the September graphical update I guess).
And besides, it has no Frogloks ;) Seriously though, I notice a trend with NCSofts games in that they only have humans, I like the D&D style of fantasy worlds best myself both for looks, and the way it gives all races a unique feeling that they lack when there is just one single race.
