Hi

I'm thinking about running a forum for a game I play. I need the following things:

1. A hosting company that provides an all in one package. I dont have a server to host the forum. I dont have the software to run the forum. It must be easy to set up as I only know a bit of html and css. Definitely no real code.
2. Must be secure.
3. Must allow for a moderate level of customizations. Hopefully in the form of plugins or similar.
4. Must be relatively inexpensive. No more than $10/month.

I would prefer a service without ads and a custom domain. I plan to register a domain name and have it redirect to the site.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

phpBB3 is pretty painless and "code-free" to administer. Plenty of hosting companies will over it through a 'one-click' install. I know my host (clook.net) offers it on all their plans, but they're not taking orders on their US servers at the moment. Looks like big players like GoDaddy offer it too.

A cheaper alternative is someone like Yuku (used to be EZboard) who are fairly rubbish but have the advantage of being free.

We used to use Dreamhost which had 1 click forum installs. For something simple it was great. Now we host a YAF.net forum with Discountasp.net (this one) because I wanted to custom write something to integrate one login through the site. If you are just looking for something quick and simple though, def check out Dreamhost.
