Do you feel that there is any MMO (not web based) that is growing in population as of today?

Probably not -I would say the total number who play MMO's is growing but the players are becoming more and more dispersed than ever.

I think Theodoric is dead on. With MMO's coming out on a monthly basis (admittedly mostly free to play) for sure the overall playerbase is increasing because of marketing / word of mouth (it's hard to find a website not promoting "the newest game"), but at the same time all those games are spreading out the population.

It's a bit saturated really... Especially with all the Lineage 2 engine clones out there :p (not talking about the rinky dink web browser ones).

Planet Calypso (formerly Project Entropia and Entropia Universe) has had a slow but incremental growth pattern. I've been involved in that game since 2004.

I don't feel like there is any meaningful population increase on MMO's either, it feels like things are probably increasing 2-3% a year on average for the past two years, but not at any levels that I would say are noticeable.

I am in agreement with most of this thread, I don't think ANY of them are really growing. The MMO player base as a whole might still be (questionable) but there are so many that people are getting spread out.
