EQ2 mainly... raiding 3 nights a week.

I also Play my PSP in between. I recently beat "The Force Unleashed", not a bad game to run through once if you get off on lightsaber battles like myself. I also figured out how to get it to play PSone games, I have been playing some of the classics of my early teens like Final Fantasy VII, Breath of Fire III, Xenogears, etc. I have a casual game started with all of them.

How did you get your PSP to play PSone games? Send me a tell if needed...

I guess I can talk about it here... because I honestly don't know the fine details about it. Its not like I am giving instructions, you guys can delete it if you don't like it.

Basically you can "upgrade" the PSP unit to a custom firmware freely available online. I didn't really notice a difference at all with the custom, however it seems to get rid of Sony's legal restrictions. A 12 year old kid did it for me, so it can't be that hard, he had a special battery and a special memory card, and BOOM within 30 seconds he was done.

After that I can load NES, SNES, SEGA, and a crap load of other custom software. Also PSP ISOs can be played directly from the memory card with no disc. So technically you could buy a PSP, upgrade to a descent sized memory card, and never have to pay for a game.

As for PSone games, the easiest way to play them is to download pre-compiled ones at your favorite torrent site. There is a way to RIP and convert the discs but I haven't gotten that far yet.

Go to any torrent site and search "PSP" you should see all of the custom stuff that is out there.

Oh, so you are basically running a homebrew application on your PSP... Ya I heard of that, though I don't know how to do it. I think my version of the PSP software if not able to do it. Not sure though, wish I knew how.

Basically you are running some sort of ROM emulator I guess

I think it will, I started playing FFVII:Crisis Core before my PSP was "updated", that game just came out a few months ago, and it MADE me update to the newest firmware before playing it. From what I heard there are "Software Updaters" that only work till a specific version, but the Battery/MemCard trick works with any version.

So I am working hard at playing a digital copy of FFVII on my psp and am getting into the homebrew stuff. All I can say is wow! What a huge industry and awesome platform. Too bad Sony's official use of the machine leaves so much to be desired. Unofficial use of the machine is freakin crazy cool.

Kotton,

what you think of GH:World Tour?

I am tempted after seeing all the pumpkins songs released.

Decent game, I got it for the new song line up and I wanted to check out the drums... although I suck horribly at them and don't seem to get any better :)

Best Playlist yet, Korn, Blind Melon, Steve Miller Band, Linkin Park, Sublime, 311, Blink 182, Oaisis, No Doubt, NOFX, and many many more…

If you played some of the previous games… it may get old a lot faster since its basically the same thing, but it’s a game I like to pick up, play a few songs and shut it off. It doesn’t eat up all my free time like some games… *cough* eq2 *cough*
