I am so sick of the Hype surrounding titles now (mostly after Vanguard) I think a lot of people are in the same boat. Don't get me wrong I love new info just as much as the next guy, but the PR spin on MMOs has really gotten lame imho.

Case in point, I saw this on Massively this morning:

What do you guys think (not specifically about Copernicus/that interview)? Are you as burned out by the hype as I am?

Does that make beta's more valuable to the player as opposed to the company (time to get a hands on before purchase vs forcing the company to have a good product if they want to keep people buying)?

To ba fair with the line up they have thats all I would expect. I don't think that 38studios really pushed for the hype, but I agree I think massively (and other mmo news sites) try very hard to be the 'joytiq or kotaku' of MMOs but they seem like they are scratching for stuff sometimes when its slow.

(which is pretty much what utterly lead to our eq2 podcasts demise)
