I believe it was stated they are going for graphics requirements somewhere between WoW and EQ2 - they have talked about how very high res, highly customizeable characters were not possible with high volume open combat - see KP post writ system in EQ2.

I am more pleased with the graphics as I look at screen shots of the game. Most of the videos are run in very low res, both the video itself and in the current beta state the game was in at that time.
Screen shots of the game as garnered by multiple sites from game demonstrations hosted by mythic show the game in much, much higher detail.
It will honestly not be as polygonally detailed as EQ2 and certainly not as jaw dropping as Aion or Conan but IMO offers the most robust feature set ever implemented in an MMO.

Looks extremely WoWish....but I think that' okay. I could deal with it. The importance is fun...and I hope there's enough content and innovation to keep it interesting. I'll be in on day one to check it out. Looks like something I would enjoy. My only hopes is that their leadership team is on par with the leadership team at Blizzard and that it's stepped up a notch. The team at SOE has lost all credibility with me, and I play treading water looking for something else. WoW is too mature (and I mean the time that it's been out, not the age of children playing :) ) for me to pick up and start from scratch. But I will be in this game as it goes live, really looking forward to it and have high hopes.
