How may eq2dailians are planning on purchasing Warhammer? Latest word is an April to September release which means Sept at earliest probably. I personally will be giving it my full attention at release. For an overview read the editorials created at Only-War.com - very informative, here is the first - http://www.only-war.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=93 The Editorials are posted in order on left side of page. This class looks awesome to me and will probably be my first choice - witch hunter http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/gameInfo/armiesofWAR/Empire/Careers/WitchHunter.phpHere is a better guide to the career choices - http://warhammervault.ign.com/View.php?view=GameInfo.Detail&id=35Theo

Definitely interested here...looks pretty cool so far. I will just keep my hopes up it doesn't turn into another Vanguard

I'm in for sure, although I have a feeling it might be an Xmas time release.

I will just keep my hopes up it doesn't turn into another Vanguard Don't think you have to worry about Warhammer being a Vanguard - that was a first time development team with an AWOL lead designer. Warhammer's team is far better and their entire process of game design has been thoroughly tested through DoAC - as they say, this is the second generation of RvR MMO's.

From Only-War.com Quote:The design team's goal is to first balance the races and their careers for RvR (large group PvP), and then adjust the PvE environment accordingly, rather than the other way around Very good to hear - Warhammer will be divided into four tiers - Tier 1 will be 80/20 PVE to PVP content. Tier 4 will be 20/80 PVE to PVP. All content however is interconnected and has real affect on the at large struggle that takes place. No particular content type operates in a bubble. In large part the quest system is not self contained story - everything is tied into the context of the game at large. This is different from DAoC which had PVE game and a RVR game where RVR is endgame content. In Warhammer they refer to PVE and PVP as just two different types of RvR. The design philosphy is drastic, from the moment you create a character you enter a struggle with the neighboring enemies lowbie zone. These battlelines are formed around the traditional struggles in the warhammer and fantasy world - IE dwarf vs greenskin. Theo

I'm really looking forward to W:AoR. Will take me back 20 years to my huge army of badly painted orcs. The IP is great - really nice mix of wit, warfare and good story telling and the PvE/ PvP design looks cool too.
